Excursions increasing in popularity!

The one-day group travel show Excursions™ 2016 attracted over 270 exhibitors from the UK and mainland Europe last weekend (January 23).

Of those exhibitors, 19% were booking space for the first time, including attractions, destinations, accommodation providers and tour operators.

There was also a significant increase in UK exhibitors from further afield including the Midlands, North East and South West.

Over 1,100 visitors packed the Great Hall, many of whom were first-time attendees.

This exclusive event happened yesterday at London’s The Alleycat Club. The Alleycat Club sits in the basement of the fabled Regent Sound Studios which was set up at 4 Denmark Street in the 1960s. With the Rolling Stones recording their first album there!

First GO Travel Show a fantastic success!

Last Saturday’s event at The Copperbox Arena in London’s Olympic Park attracted well over 650 GTOs & Travel Trade Executives form all parts of the group travel sector including quite a few new group buyers.

Kinky Boots comes home!

Having a Kinky time are Sue Day of West Midland Safari Park and Chris Wales Chair of the Coach Tourism Council. The pair where pictured at the AGTO (Association of a Group Tour Operators) AGM at the Marriott Hotel Northampton. AGTO is an independent organisation representing the interests of those who organise tours and trips for groups as well as those who provide services for group travel.

Over 200 supplier members including made and Encore tickets met with Group Travel Organisers providing them with information on everything from tours, hotels and destinations to museums, galleries, theatre tickets and attractions.

The event was extra special as the film and subsequent musical Kinky Boots are based on a true story that has its origins in the Earls Barton shoe factory, which is in fact just outside of the town of Northampton!

The New York Times Travel Show 2016

Today team made joined 500 plus exhibitors from across the globe at the annual The New York Times Travel Show for a spectacular international celebration. Visitors explored domestic and international hot spots, familiar favorites and under-the radar crowd-free escapes. Over the weekend we will showcase the Best of London & Broadway Theatre to over 28k+ travellers and industry professionals!
