This weekend made’s Jonathan Mountford joined The Global Travel Exchange panel at the American Society of Travel Agents Congress in Washington DC. Other panelists included; Roger Block - President, Travel Leaders Franchise Group; Ertugrul Karaoglu ASTA International Network Chair and Rozalina Nikolova - General Manager, Mercury Travel Bulgaria.
Jonathan also gave a presentation about the 'Enticements and Barriers to Travel to the United Kingdom.' Other speakers at the session included Julie Heizer - Deputy Director, Industry Relations, National Travel & Tourism Office, U.S. Department of Commerce and Liaison to Brand USA and Brenda Sprague - Deputy Assistant Secretary for Passport Services, Bureau of Consular Affairs, U.S. Department of State.
Experience Oxfordshire, the Destination Management Organisation for Oxfordshire, has unveiled its new brand identity (created by made tourism marketing) at their Summer Networking Event.
The 130 people in attendance came from all sections of the visitor economy, and were the first to see the new brand and learn more about how Experience Oxfordshire aims to grow as an organisation and make the county a desirable destination to live, work, visit and do business.
On Friday 19 August made hosted a familiarisation trip to Houghton Hall a country house in Norfolk, England. It was built for the de facto first British Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, and it is a key building in the history of Palladian architecture in England. We hosted Group Leaders and members of the Travel Trade at a major exhibition of one of the world’s most renowned artists. LightScape: James Turrell an exciting show of light installations, which includes several site-specific works and a spectacular illumination of the entire west façade of the Hall.
Yesterday we sponsored the drinks at the annual Summer BBQ of The Society of Box Office Managers. The event was held in wonderful surrounding of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
