WTM Latin America welcomes first dedicated UK Pavilion
Prominent tourism firms (including made) took part in the first UK Pavilion to be held at WTM Latin America (29 - 31 March 2016).
Taking place in São Paulo, Brazil, this year’s WTM Latin America was the first time since 2010 that many of the UK participants have been in the Latin American market.
Other exhibitors included B2B wholesaler Worldwide DMC; incoming tour operator Eurowelcome; Capemoor Apartments; and Historic Royal Palaces, which manages six royal palaces (Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle).
Jonathan Mountford, Managing Director at made said: “It is the first time that a UK Pavilion has been present and the companies that are coming are looking forward to meeting with as many agents as possible and making new and lasting business relations. South America has an estimated 500,000 travellers reaching the shores of the UK to sample the delights of our culture, history and wonderful attractions around the country. With several direct flights a week coming from Rio, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and Mexico we want to make sure that everyone who arrives gets the service and stay they want.”
